Megumi Goto, LPCC
Many of my clients find themselves repeating the same (undesirable) patterns again, again and again… Perhaps this looks like feeling “stuck” in really uncomfortable emotions, struggling to experience a consistent sense of “feeling at ease, connected, safe” in their relationships, or stacking feelings of overwhelm for life. However, they don’t know what to do about it since they have tried thousands of ways to solve the “problem”. They are beginning to believe there is no way and they aren’t sure if therapy could be the last solution. They feel like they have hit every dead end and are almost ready to give up.
I provide my best therapeutic container and safety place for the clients and support their process. I support clients giving themselves permission to be vulnerable with my unprejudiced and magnanimous approach. My therapy is not narrowly goal oriented, rather actively alongside my clients’ needs. I also work closely with my clients to help them begin to uncover a deeper understanding of themselves.
In my therapy, clients truly experience an emotionally safe feeling which allows for more comprehensive, effective and more intuitive healing and processing of life’s most difficult past experiences. My therapy clients feel they genuinely have me as an ally and are being supported with unconditional positive regard. The strong therapeutic relationship we build together, gently leads clients to stand for the startline of Self-exploration. It is my honor to provide support during this journey of healing and growth.

More than just my work:
- Aldous Leonard Huxley left a quote: “Experience is not what happens to you. It is what you do with what happens to you.”
I would like to rewrite it as: “It is what you feel with what happens to you.” -Paraphrased by Megumi - I got a BA at Art University. When I see or feel the freedom of expression, I feel a deeper connection to myself. Creativity is a huge source of inspiration in my therapeutic work (with clients and for myself).
- I love cooking and being creative. I highly enjoy “DIY projects” of all kinds! I’ve had wonderful and fulfilling experiences while painting houses, making furniture and updating, restoring flooring.
