Jenna – In Her Own Words
Jenna offers therapy for teens, athletes, and couples in Lakewood, Colorado, and online throughout Colorado. She works with both individual mental health and the relationship patterns that can keep people feeling stuck, whether that is in a partnership, a family system, or inside your own self-talk.
“I believe therapy is about more than just managing symptoms; it’s about reconnecting with your body’s wisdom and making sense of your story. Whether you are navigating the high-pressure world of athletics, the weight of being the ‘eldest daughter,’ or the complexity of narcissistic abuse recovery, I am here to help you move from simply ‘going through the motions’ to living a life that feels aligned and connected.”
The Challenge: Overwhelmed, Stuck, and Disconnected
Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted by people-pleasing, anxiety, or painful relationship patterns. You might feel frozen by big decisions, overwhelmed by emotions, or disconnected from yourself and the people you care about. Often, old attachment wounds or past experiences can make the present feel heavier than it “should.”
The Solution: A Holistic, Relational Approach
In our work together, my first priority is that you feel safe, seen, and not judged. I blend emotion-focused, somatic, and trauma-informed therapy to help you understand what is happening beneath the surface and calm a nervous system that has been on high alert. I also draw from Polyvagal-informed strategies and DBT skills so you have practical tools you can use between sessions, not just insight in the room.
The Result: Grounded Self-Care and Real Resilience
Over time, you can build healthier boundaries, feel more steady in your emotions, and relate to yourself with more compassion. My hope is that you leave therapy with a stronger sense of self-trust, a clearer direction, and self-care that actually works in your everyday life.
Clinical Experience and the Athlete’s Edge
Jenna’s work is informed by both lived experience and clinical training across the lifespan.
Inclusive, Affirming Care: Jenna is committed to creating a therapy space where LGBTQIA+ clients, BIPOC clients, and neurodivergent clients feel respected, safe, and understood. She approaches identity with humility and care, and she welcomes the parts of you that have not always felt fully seen elsewhere.
A Dual Lens for Individuals and Relationships: With candidate licenses in both MFTC and LPCC, Jenna brings a unique perspective. She can support individual healing while also helping couples and families understand the dynamics and “loops” that keep the same conflicts repeating.
Support for Athletes and High Achievers: As a former collegiate athlete, Jenna understands the mental load that can come with sports and performance, including pressure, perfectionism, injury recovery, and identity shifts when athletics change or end. She helps clients build resilience without losing themselves in achievement.
Narcissistic Abuse and Codependency Recovery: Jenna has a special focus on helping people heal after emotionally manipulative relationships. Together, you can rebuild self-trust, strengthen boundaries, and untangle the patterns that made it hard to feel safe and steady in the first pl

More than just my work:
Outside of therapy, Jenna loves exploring new trails for a run or hike along Colorado’s Front Range. She’s a big fan of beach volleyball and is relearning how to play “for fun” after years of college athletics. When she’s not outside, you can probably find her getting lost in a good book, trying a new board game, attempting a recipe Instagram made look way easier or trying to befriend any willing cats she meets!
Fun fact:
Jenna grew up in Michigan, went to college in Birmingham, Alabama and completed grad school in Florida before finally landing in Colorado – where she’s happily trading humidity for mountain views.
