Do you have a physical office in downtown Golden?

While we don’t have a building on Washington Avenue, our primary Lakewood office is strategically located at 12211 W. Alameda Pkwy, making it the local choice for the Golden community. We are situated right at the corner of West Alameda Parkway and South Center Avenue, just a short drive east from the Coors Brewery and Clear Creek area.

Is there parking at your office, or is it like downtown Golden?

Unlike the often-congested street parking in downtown Golden or Belmar, we offer a large, private parking lot with ample free spaces for our clients. You can park right in front of the building and enter our first-floor suite for an easy, stress-free start to your appointment.

What is the commute like from Lookout Mountain or Genesee?

It is an easy 16 minute drive from downtown Golden to our office. The commute is incredibly straightforward. If you are coming from Genesee or Lookout Mountain, simply take I-70 to C-470 East and exit at Alameda Parkway. If you are in downtown Golden, you can take US-6 East directly to our neighborhood. Many of our clients find that this short drive provides a valuable buffer to decompress before or after a therapeutic session.

What are your fees, and are there any hidden costs?

Sessions are $125 to $200 depending on clinician credential level. Pricing is transparent and discussed before you start. Your intake will include a clear review of session rates, cancellation policies, and any optional services so you can make an informed decision. No surprises.

Do you accept insurance or provide superbills?

If you are using out of network benefits, we can typically provide documentation for reimbursement. We can also help you understand what questions to ask your insurer so you have clarity on expected costs.

Can I do therapy less often to reduce cost?

Absolutely. Many people start weekly and then shift to every other week as they build skills and stability. We will collaborate on a pace that fits both your goals and your budget.

Do you have a sliding scale or options if cost is a concern?

We aim to keep rates accessible up front, and we will talk with you about options that fit your budget. In many cases we can suggest a cadence that still supports progress, plus lower cost resources when appropriate.

Do you serve clients from Genesee or Lookout Mountain?

Yes! Many of our clients live in the foothills communities like Genesee, Lookout Mountain, and Heritage Dells. Our office is located right off the C-470 and Alameda exit, making it a very quick trip down the hill.

Is the office accessible for students at the Colorado School of Mines?

Absolutely. We are a short, 12-minute drive from the Mines campus via US-6 East, providing a private space for students to seek support outside of the immediate campus environment.

Is specialized therapy worth the 15-minute drive from Golden?

Absolutely. Many people in the foothills find that local generalist options don’t always offer the clinical depth needed for complex trauma or high-conflict relationship loops. Traveling 15 minutes to our Lakewood office allows you to access specialists trained in the Gottman Method, EMDR, and IFS, ensuring you move beyond just talking about problems and toward genuine physiological recovery.
