Therapy Close to Home for Arvada Residents

Arvada is one of those places where life can feel genuinely full. The schools are strong, the neighborhoods are walkable, Olde Town is alive on weekends, and life in Candelas, Leyden Rock, or Ralston Creek looks a lot like the picture you imagined when you moved here.

And still, sometimes there is a quiet pull to check in with yourself.

Maybe it is a short fuse that surprises you. A tiredness that sleep does not fix. A sense that you are holding a lot for a lot of people, and you have not paused for yourself in a while. Maybe your relationship has changed in ways you did not plan for, or your teenager is going through something, or you are noticing patterns from earlier in your life resurfacing now that things are otherwise stable. None of that means something is wrong with you. It means you are paying attention.

Our Lakewood office is at 12211 W. Alameda Pkwy, Suite 106, about 15 to 20 minutes south on Wadsworth Boulevard. It is a straight, easy drive with free parking right out front. Some of our Arvada clients tell us the drive itself becomes the quiet zone of their week, a stretch of road between their responsibilities and a space that is exclusively theirs.

We work with the things that bring people through the door: anxiety, depression, relationship stress, parenting challenges, trauma, and the kind of sustained pressure that comes from holding a full life together well. We see teens 12 and up, adults, couples, neurodivergent individuals, and parents who are realizing they would like to feel more like themselves.

You moved to Arvada to build a good life. Therapy is one of the ways you protect what you are building. Call or text us at 720-551-4553 for a brief consultation. No pressure. Just a conversation.

Why Choose Self Care Impact for Arvada Residents?

Do you have a physical office in Arvada?

Not in Arvada itself, but our Lakewood office at 12211 W. Alameda Pkwy, Suite 106 is about 15 to 20 minutes south via Wadsworth Boulevard. The space is a quiet first-floor suite right off Alameda Parkway with free parking out front, no garage, no meters. We also offer secure telehealth for anyone in Colorado, which a lot of our Arvada clients prefer when their schedules are packed.

How long is the drive from Arvada to your Lakewood office?

About 15 to 20 minutes depending on where in Arvada you are coming from. Wadsworth Boulevard south is the most direct route from Olde Town and Ralston Creek. From Candelas or Leyden Rock, Indiana Street or Kipling can be faster. There is no highway merging, no downtown traffic, just a straight shot south. Many of our clients tell us the drive becomes the quietest 15 minutes of their day.

Is parking easy at your Lakewood office?

Yes. We have a private parking lot with plenty of free spaces right in front of the building. Park, walk in the front door, and you are at our first-floor suite. No meters, no garages, no circling the block.

Which Arvada neighborhoods do you serve?

We work with clients from across Arvada, including Olde Town, Ralston Creek, Candelas, Leyden Rock, Village of Five Parks, West Woods, and Lake Arbor. We also see people from neighboring Wheat Ridge, Westminster, and the broader northwest metro area. If you can get to Wadsworth or Kipling, you can get to us.

Do you work with teens from Arvada?

Yes. We see teens 12 and up. We work with adolescents dealing with school pressure, social anxiety, family transitions, and the kind of low-grade stress that comes from absorbing the pace of a busy household without knowing how to name it. Our team includes therapists who specialize in working with teens and young adults using approaches like DBT, EMDR, and attachment-focused therapy.

Do you offer online therapy for Arvada residents?

Yes. We offer secure telehealth sessions for anyone located in Colorado. Many of our Arvada clients use a hybrid approach, coming into the Lakewood office when they can and switching to online sessions when work, weather, or kid logistics make the drive impractical.

What are your fees, and are there any hidden costs?

Sessions are $125 to $200 depending on clinician credential level. Pricing is transparent and discussed before you start. Your intake will include a clear review of session rates, cancellation policies, and any optional services so you can make an informed decision. No surprises.

Do you accept insurance or provide superbills?

If you are using out of network benefits, we can typically provide documentation for reimbursement. We can also help you understand what questions to ask your insurer so you have clarity on expected costs before you commit to anything.

Can I do therapy less often to reduce cost?

Absolutely. Many people start weekly and shift to every other week as they build skills and stability. We will collaborate on a pace that fits both your goals and your budget.

Why choose Self Care Impact over an Arvada, Westminster, or Wheat Ridge practice?

Two reasons. First, clinical depth. Our team includes therapists trained in EMDR, Gottman Method, IFS, and Somatic Experiencing. Many local generalist practices are excellent for everyday support, but if you are looking for specialty care for trauma, couples work, or complex anxiety, you do not have to compromise on training to find someone close to home. Second, the drive often helps. Many of our Arvada clients tell us the 15 to 20 minute buffer down Wadsworth becomes a built-in transition out of parent or professional mode and into a space that is exclusively theirs.
